”Where’s the party?” Oriole loves cats, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive nature of her is almost always entertaining. Oriole loves to entertain — anywhere, it doesn’t matter, cats in her clan or outside of it. Gatherings are a chance for her to get to know cats from another clan, not to argue with them. Oriole sometimes thinks and talks in more of a spider-web approach. She tends to jump from thought to thought in mid-sentence, touching here or there in a manner that’s almost incoherent to the listener, but will eventually cover the waterfront by skipping on impulse from one piece of information to another. It’s really quite fascinating. Oriole is attracted to new things in a fascinating way, anything new she feels like she needs to check out, unless it has some sort of repellent. Oriole loves to talk about cats to cats, talking is fun and when she’s talking about cats she finds its funner. She often does mischievous things just to get a good story.
[ Kithood ] Oriole was born to Cloverswirl and Crownedskull of WindClan, but was unaware that she was related to Crownedskull. During her kithood she pestered Cloverswirl about her father, trying to figure out who he was, but Cloverswirl managed to keep it confidential. At the age of four moons, Oriole sneaked out into to the territory for a bit of fun, and a great story to tell. Unfortunately for her, she ran into WindClan’s medicine cat at the time, Surgestorm. He was collecting mouse bile, and as she was underage for being in the territory she had to help him collect mouse bile. To get ‘revenge’ on Surgestorm she went to go mess up the medicine cat den, and she did. He came in, and seemed very frustrated and disappointed, so Oriole did her best to fix the medicine den. When she was six moons, she was given the offer of becoming his apprentice, Oriole accepted.
[ Adolescence ] Oriolepaw was apprenticed to Surgestorm, and traveled to the moonstone with him. She became his official apprentice. Heatherfur, a WindClan warrior had left to join RiverClan as their medicine cat. She came to train with them. When Oriolepaw was about seven or eight moons Surgestorm was killed by a fox in WindClan territory, which sent Oriolepaw into depression. She was comforted by her friend Schorchingpaw, but it didn’t help her the most. Oriolepaw began unofficial training with Daydream and Shinefang. When she was around ten moons, Oriolepaw traveled to the moon pool, all the medicine cats received the same vision of the forest going dry. Daydream and Shinefang disagreed, and despite her doubts Oriolepaw sided with Daydream. Oriolepaw told Blazingstar about the vision, and all the HRs had a meeting. Oriolepaw watched Buttercupbreeze speak up against their leader, and seeking she decided to say something about how they were all cats, what did Fallenstar ever do? She then traveled back to the camp, Buttercupbreeze got demoted soon after for holding peacemaker rallies. A cat called Fawn stumbled into camp and Oriolepaw attempted to heal her, she succeeded despite her many doubts.
[ Adulthood ] Oriolepaw received her warrior name at the moonstone. She was given the name of Oriolestorm, Daydream described her as “taking the clans by storm with her knowledge. Her name was in honor of her former mentor Surgestorm.
